Why eBooks?

The internet is a huge marketplace. Within it, writing, selling and reselling ebooks (electronic books) is a rapidly growing business. Why is this? Because selling ebooks has one of the lowest, if not the lowest set-up costs for any business. There are zero inventory costs, zero delivery costs and the whole thing can be automated so that you really can make money whilst you sleep. However, even more importantly, ebooks can deliver targeted traffic to your website. Let me explain.

Research published recently has shown that the vast majority of people trying to do business on the internet today have been doing so for less than 1 year. That's a lot of new people building a lot of new websites trying to sell something! But the harsh reality is that most people will probably never make a dime on the internet. Why? Because setting up a website has never been like opening a football stadium ("Build it and people will come"). Build a website on the internet and do nothing else and no-one will come. No traffic means no sales. That's not rocket science. On the internet, the harsh reality is that whatever business you're in, you're primarily in the business of marketing. That's where ebooks really come in. Ebooks are great marketing tools. You could write an ebook about your business, post your links in it, offer reseller rights, or use a low-priced same niche ebook to "hook" the customer on eBay and use your own ebook as a high priced back end sale. Either way, if you automate the delivery process and offer reseller rights, your marketing will go "viral" - and with all those links pointing to your website, that's a lot of targeted traffic! Targeted traffic means more sales.

So ebooks are important marketing tools, and you can make money reselling them. Shouldn't you be in the ebooks business?
